One fact per record — topic documents cannot be retired
A document covering six things goes stale in one of them and stays live in the other five.
The record
The house convention is one claim per record with the claim in the title. The reason is retirement rather than tidiness: when a bundled document is half wrong there is no clean action, so it stays, and its wrong half keeps being retrieved. A single-claim record is either true or deleted. This is why the memory corpus is not the same thing as the document library and should not be merged into it.
