No agent may publish a metric it did not measure
Every figure in client-facing output must trace to a source; estimates must be labelled as estimates.
The record
Established after a Q1 deck cited a 40% efficiency gain that no one could source. The number was plausible, unattributed, and wrong. Any figure leaving the enterprise must resolve to a job run, a dataset or a named document, and anything modelled rather than measured carries the word 'estimated' in the same sentence. When a source cannot be produced, drop the claim rather than soften it.
