Month-end close stalls on agent spend that no company owns
Roughly a tenth of fleet spend lands in a shared bucket and is allocated by hand every month.
The record
Agents that serve more than one company bill to a shared pool, and nothing in the job record says how to split it. Finance allocates by hand, which costs about a day and is the reason close runs to five days instead of four. The fix is attribution at job level rather than a better spreadsheet — until then, budget the day and do not treat the close date as slippage.
